Surrey Hampshire Borders
Branch is one of the largest CAMRA branches with over
1400 members. It was founded in 1975, the inaugural
meeting being held at the Red Lion in Milford.
The Branch covers a large
area, stretching over 30 miles along the Surrey &
Hampshire Borders, encompassing approximately 500 pubs.
The major towns in the areas are Aldershot, Alton,
Camberley, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford & Woking.
The Branch runs a beer
festival in November every year in Woking and support
the Farnham Beerex in April/May, the longest running
beer festival held at a single location in the world.
A quarterly Newsletter, News and Ale, is
produced with a circulation of 11,500. |
